"A beautiful hotel in the middle of District 1”

We spent 3 nights at this beautiful hotel. My partner and I booked the Au Lac charner suite and the service was just perfect. They went over and above to ensure that my stay was memorable. Special shout out to Robert. You're a champ!

"Clean and comfy bedroom”

We loved the white colored room, designed in a classic style. The bathtub with jet waters was very comfortable and spacious.

"Great Hotel for Exploring HCM”

First time in country and didn't know what to expect. This hotel made it easy and relaxing. The staff are very attentive and will help with any request. The room was clean and comfortable. Amenities to rival any western hotel costing 5x the price. Would definitely stay again.

"Good hotel, great location, good value, but with a few shortcomings.”

Overall, this is a really nice hotel and good value given it's location. That said, it did have it's faults. I stayed at this hotel for a combined 10-15 nights in various rooms. I will say that the rooms on the upper floors (8 & 9) that are on the same side of the elevator are the best in terms of low noise. The rooms on the opposite side of the elevator have more traffic, music, and rooster noise. Rooms 908-910 are the best. The breakfast was decent, but get there before 8:30 am. The positives of this hotel are very good staff, comfortable beds and pillows, nice pool, and great location. Also, as I said, some of the rooms are quiet enough to get good sleep in a very noisy city. Where the hotel came up short was a couple of areas. First, some of the electric toilet bidets in some of the rooms do not work. Second, while the breakfast in general is good, it does tend to run out of items after 8:30. There are plenty of staff in the kitchen, and they shuffle around to remove dirty plates. However, what the kitchen seems to lack is leadership. There is no one person directing staff on what to do, in particular to replenish empty items. Because of this, items tend to sit empty for over 30 minutes or more. You would think that when an item is running low, somebody would direct staff to get ready to replenish it. Not so. Several days, for example, something as basic as coffee was gone by 9 am. People had to ask for it then wait 30 minutes for new coffee. This is Vietnam. Coffee should never run out. Anyway, if you get to breakfast before 8:30, it should be OK. Two other weak points of the hotel are that the fitness center is tiny and only has the most basic equipment. Lastly, the wifi is spotty and tends to cut out several times per day (though only for a minute or 2). Overall, despite it's shortcomings, I do recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.
